While Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have dominated the headlines and cricket fields for years, the title of the world’s richest cricketer belongs to a surprising figure: Aryaman Birla.

Though not as famous for his cricket skills as some of his well-known peers, Birla’s enormous wealth, largely inherited from his family’s Aditya Birla Group, sets him apart. With a net worth estimated at 7,000 crore.

Birla’s wealth far exceeds that of any cricketer. While he has played first-class cricket for Madhya Pradesh and the Rajasthan Royals, his main focus has shifted to business.

His family’s immense wealth, along with his own business ventures, has made him one of the richest people in India.

While cricketers like Kohli and Dhoni have earned significant wealth through their careers and endorsements, Birla’s inherited fortune and business expertise have propelled him to the top. His unique blend of cricket talent and business success makes him stand out in both sports and finance

While the name Aryaman Birla might not immediately ring a bell to cricket fans, those who have followed the sport closely would know he is a name connected with the Aditya Birla Group and not just the cricket field. However, behind the business tycoon lies a passionate cricketer who has made his mark on the domestic circuit.

Birla’s cricketing journey began at a young age, playing for various domestic teams in India. Known for his elegant batting style and his ability to play under pressure, he has carved his own path, proving that he is more than just a name. He has represented Madhya Pradesh and the Rajasthan Royals in first-class cricket, showcasing his skills as a middle-order batsman.

However, in 2019, he took a break from cricket to address mental health challenges. The Rajasthan Royals released him before the 2020 IPL auction.

After retirement, he began his entrepreneurial journey in the food and beverage industry. As the head of Aditya Birla Ventures, the group’s venture capital division, Birla has overseen investments in five rapidly growing startups.

He also holds director positions at Grasim Industries, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., Aditya Birla Management Corporation (P) Ltd., and the Aditya Birla Group. Additionally, he serves on the advisory board of Atlas SkillTech University.
Even though Aaryaman Birla left professional cricket, his love for the game is as strong as ever. Despite his busy schedule and many business responsibilities, he still finds time to play cricket as a hobby. His dedication shows in the way he regularly makes time for the sport, even with all his other commitments.

This ongoing connection to cricket highlights how much he truly loves the game and his effort to keep a balance between his work and personal interests.
